Edward C. Harding, III
Chief Financial Officer

Ed Harding joined Colonial Electric in September 2008 as the Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Harding came to Colonial from Citi, where he worked as a Tax and Business Valuation Specialist. In that role, he assisted in the development of comprehensive financial plans for high net worth individuals, primarily business owners and corporate executives. Mr. Harding was the designer and national leader within Citi of the Non-Binding Business Value Calculation Service.

Prior to this, Mr. Harding was a Principal Financial Analyst in the Corporate Strategy and Development unit of the Executive’s Office at Constellation Energy Group. Ed managed modeling and valuation for mergers and acquisitions during a time when the Firm grew and distinguished itself as one of the most successful competitive energy companies in the United States.

Ed’s career began at Alex Brown & Sons Incorporated, where he was promoted to various roles within the CFO’s Accounting and Finance Division between 1993 and 1999.

Mr. Harding holds a BS in Accounting from Virginia Tech and a MS in Finance from Loyola College in Maryland. Ed is an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Loyola College in Maryland, and a member of the Department of Finance Advisory Board for the Sellinger School of Business and Management at Loyola College in Maryland.

Ed is a Certified Public Accountant in Maryland and a candidate for Level III of the Chartered Financial Analyst program. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the CFA Institute and the Baltimore Security Analyst Society.
