Gene Chaney joined Colonial Electric Communications, LLC in January 2008 as the General Manager of the new low voltage venture of parent Company Colonial Electric. Gene came to CEC after serving in a managerial role at River Downs Golf Course in Carroll County, MD.

Prior to this, Mr. Chaney resided in Dayton, Nevada where he was involved in Daily Operations at the Carson Horseshoe Club Casino in Carson City and at the same time was the Owner and Operator of the Oasis Club Gaming facility in Dayton, Nevada. Gene was specifically involved in analysis of gaming device profitability at the Horseshoe Club Casino and in deciding the makeup and layout of Gaming devices on the Casino floor.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Chaney held the position of Admissions Director at The Calverton School in Huntingtown, Maryland for two years. During his tenure, a Five-Year Marketing and Growth plan was established and implemented at the PK-12 College Prep School. The school achieved record new student enrollment during this time.

Gene Chaney was born in 1967 in Annapolis, Maryland and earned his BS in Broadcast Journalism from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
